After growing up in LA and traveling all over the US, I took a turn and ended up in Amsterdam. Throughout those experiences, the interplay of writing and photography always influenced my ultimate perception of a place, where one form of observation continued where the latter left off. As a footwear designer, understanding a culture and its character further informs the direction of my work and the space in which a design needs to exist. By analyzing my everyday adjustments into this European lifestyle a new sensibility can be imagined.
